Top of the Harbor Ballroom

These are some pictures from one of our previous weddings that was held at the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach in Ventura, California during March of 2012. The reception was held in our Top of the Harbor Ballroom. As you can see in these photos, it features sweeping views of the City of Ventura(pictured to the right), Pierpont Bay, Channel Islands(Anacapa and Santa Cruz Islands) Surfer’s Point and miles upon miles of Central Californian Coastline.

The Top of the Harbor Ballroom can be customized in many various ways with lighting and the layout of the dance floor and tables. This wedding party chose to put the dance floor in the middle of the room and place the tables around the dance floor. This way, all their guests have the most wonderful views of the California Coast and City of Ventura.

The wedding party had some very cute ways of decorating their wedding from the lighting to the sweetheart table(pictured to the right).

Wedding Dinner

Dinner was prepared by the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach Catering department and fed 190 people. There were three Hors D’oeuvres that were served; Baked Brie en Croute, Vegetable Crudite and Teriyaki Chicken Skewers. The salad was a Caesar salad with fresh romaine lettuce, parmigiano reggiano, sun roasted tomatoes, herbed croutons & house made Caesar dressing. Also fresh baked rolls were served with the salad. They had two plates for their dinner; a slow roasted Prime Rib with creamed horseradish and the other plate was Ventura Farms roasted vegetable wellington served with tomato basil cream sauce. All plates were served with whipped potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Spumante and apple cider were used during the toast and chardonnay and cabernet were served with dinner in addition to coffee and tea.
